What is PVA
2010-02-22 16:33PVA (polyvinyl alcohol, solid - water soluble synthetic polymer) has been used in textile production much longer than in angling, which is why we have the right experience.
It is also used in textile industry as auxiliary material for sewing textile products or in fining processes.
PVA has got a wide scale of use, e.g. in chemical industry, building industry, pharmaceutical industry (coating of tablets), food industry (preservation), etc.
Producers offer many kinds of PVA materials, which are dissolved at various temperatures. With some textile products it is necessary for PVA threads to be dissolved during technological washing process or colouring of a product at 90 ºC. PVA material used for this purpose is absolutely unfit for manufacturing of stockings, strings, cords and braids for angling. It would take a very long time for PVA to dissolve, or it would not dissolve at all.
PVA material used in production of our stockings, strings, cords and braids is the most suitable of all the scale regarding solubility in relation to water temperature on the bottom and the melt time.
